It's been a while since Kyu first came to life. I still have had no luck finding a way to make him a heart.

Kyu doesn't seem to know what he's missing, or even who he is exactly. I suppose I can't blame him. How can I even attempt to describe emotions for him? How can I put anger, joy, despair, indifference into words that can be understood?

I don't even think he can feel pain. Some time ago, he was standing in between me and a running stove. I accidentally tripped into him, and for a brief moment his hand was in the flames. I immediately apologized and treated him.

Chapter 2: Kyu Ponders On Friends

I wonder whether I should refer to Kyu in my mind as 'it', or 'he'. The word 'it' doesn't seem right though. Like I'm talking about a monster, or something to be feared, such as a spider or a rabid dog. I eventually settle on 'he'. It fits better.
